Do you supply other plumbing supplies other than stoves and cylinders?
Yes. We supply a full range of domestic plumbing materials, as shown in sections of this website.
Do your cylinders come with coils suitable for use with solid fuel?
Yes. All standard coils in our cylinders are 1” coils which is what is used for solid fuel. The only coils in our cylinders which are not suitable for solid fuel are certain solar coils which sometimes come as ¾” coils.
Are your hot water cylinders insulated?
Yes. All our cylinders, unless otherwise specified, come pre-insulated.
Do I need a stainless steel or copper cylinder?
Generally speaking, copper cylinders can be used 75% of the time in a standard heating system. A stainless cylinder must be used in a pressurised system and should also be used in hard water areas where copper cylinders are likely to perish over a relatively short period of time.
What size of hot water cylinder do I need?
The size of cylinder varies with the number of people and the type of appliances in the house. The space in the hot press of a house also restricts the size of cylinder to be used. As with stoves, we recommend consulting with your plumber to establish your cylinder needs before ordering a new cylinder.
What stove do I need for my house?
It really depends on the individuals taste and the number of radiators for a boiler type or the size of the room for a room heater. The number of radiators our boiler stoves heat are shown in the description of each stove. Ideally, we would recommend that you consult with your plumber as they will be able to tell you exactly what you need. You are then free to choose what style of stove best suits your home.
